Bio: ὄνειρος — the Ancient Greek word for dream — explores the moment the visible world gives way to the subconscious. A solitary figure appears suspended between ocean, sky and inner space. Her eyes are closed, yet water erupts upward from them in impossible vertical currents, opening into an Aegean horizon and a radiant sky. Gravity has stopped behaving normally. The landscape exists both outside her and within her. Blue remains the gravitational center of the work — cobalt, ultramarine, cyan and midnight tones — but it is invaded by molten orange, magenta, violet and gold. Behind her, an enormous lunar form and precise geometric structures collide with the organic violence of the sea. The imagery moves between ancient and future without fully belonging to either. Water becomes hair, atmosphere, energy and portal. The familiar blue-and-white visual spirit of Greece is pushed beyond the expected into something psychedelic, cosmic and alive. Created in my RockinFREEWorld aesthetic, the work collides 1960s modernism, Bauhaus and Op Art geometry, psychedelic color, mixed-media texture and AI. I am interested in what happens when visual languages from different periods are pulled out of their original contexts and allowed to collide. ὕδρα was created for HYDRA BLUE 2.0, inspired by water and the many shades of blue — from sea & sky to dreams & mythology, and the iconic blue-and-white spirit of Greece.

Bio: For this piece I used the strong blue and white contrast to focus on the feeling of Hydra rather than showing it in a very literal way. The church, the flowers and the deep blue give it that Greek atmosphere, but at the same time it feels a bit like an old memory or a moment from the past. I liked the idea of using blue not just as the colour of the image, but as the mood of it too.
