The cobalt that Joseon painters brushed onto white porcelain and the blue of the Aegean — on shutters, on hulls, on the water — are two lives of one pigment. Experienced in augmented reality on Hydra, the cobalt flows out of the frame toward the real Aegean behind the viewer — and the island completes the work.

Bio: ὄνειρος — the Ancient Greek word for dream — explores the moment the visible world gives way to the subconscious. A solitary figure appears suspended between ocean, sky and inner space. Her eyes are closed, yet water erupts upward from them in impossible vertical currents, opening into an Aegean horizon and a radiant sky. Gravity has stopped behaving normally. The landscape exists both outside her and within her. Blue remains the gravitational center of the work — cobalt, ultramarine, cyan and midnight tones — but it is invaded by molten orange, magenta, violet and gold. Psychedelic currents move through celestial geometry while circles become planets, portals and shifting points of perception. A monumental crescent cuts through the composition, hovering somewhere between moon, symbol and pure geometric form. The work moves deliberately between serenity and sensory overload. Water becomes thought. Horizon becomes memory. Color becomes dream. Created through my RockinFREEWorld aesthetic, ὄνειρος combines 1960s modernism, Bauhaus and Op Art geometry, psychedelic color, mixed-media texture and AI to build a visual language that is simultaneously analog, digital, nostalgic and future-facing. ὄνειρος was created for HYDRA BLUE 2.0, inspired by water and the many shades of blue — from sea & sky to dreams & mythology, and the iconic blue-and-white spirit of Greece.
