Title: They Carried Too Much Beauty To Be Small
Artist: Eloise
Bio: In this piece I use maximalism as both language and liberation by layering colour and form to represent layers of emotion. Through a lush, dreamlike garden, I explore the idea that abundance is not excess, but expression.
Influenced by my favourite surreal artists, I aim to reflect a realm where identity stretches, is softened and transformative. The elongated female figures are quiet witnesses as well as symbols of resilience and introspection.
